Virginia and Keith live in rural Minnesota. They have two adult children, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Virginia has an MS degree in communications and has been a journal writer all of her adult life. She currently posts many of her journal entries on her website, Virginialaken.com and Hopeforcouples.com. In her spare time Virginia enjoys reading, gardening, and volunteering for Hospice.
Keith holds a MBA degree from Washington University, St. Louis. Retired from his executive positions, Keith is currently an entrepreneur and consultant to startup businesses. His hobbies include flying, beekeeping, and ham radio.
Since the publication of MAKING LOVE AGAIN: Hope for Couples Facing Loss of Sexual Intimacy, Keith and Virginia have been speaking around the country to support groups, couples, medical professionals and students about their experience in overcoming sexual dysfunction. They hope their story, expressed candidly, gives others struggling with the painful and stressful ‘life effects’ accompanying sexual dysfunction give other courage to begin making love again, and to express many of the fears and frustrations many of their patients may be too embarrassed to talk about.
